Alaska Conditions of Use

AS 18.65.087 authorizes the Department of Public Safety to maintain a central registry of sex offenders required to register under AS 12.63.010 and to make information about the offender available to the public.

Sex Offender Registry (SOR) Application Update - August 1, 2005:
The update of the Alaska SOR application is in process. In addition to moving the application to a larger database server, this update will support an interface to the National Sex Offender Public Registry (www.nsopr.gov). While this update proceeds the existing database will remain available to the public.

Important Reminders:

Positive identification of a person believed to be a sex offender cannot be established unless fingerprint comparison is made. 13 AAC 68.310 authorizes the department to release, to any person, a state criminal history record. You may ensure positive identification of an offender by submitting a set of the subject’s fingerprints and a fee of $35. The Department of Public Safety updates this information regularly, to try to assure that it is complete and accurate, however this information can change quickly. You are cautioned that information provided on this site may not reflect the current residence, status, or other information regarding an offender. Only offenders convicted of the sex offenses specified under AS 12.63.100 are required to register. Persons who have been arrested or charged with a sex offense are not required to register unless the arrest or charge results in a conviction. This list contains offenders who have registered and those who are required to register.
